Welcome to the webpages for Prof. Bin Wang's group in the Department of Civil Engineering at Sichuan University. We are working to further understand the behavior of structures under earthquakes and developing high-performance structural systems and devices to mitigate earthquake disasters. Our research topics mainly focus on the structural response of reinforced concrete (RC) structures under earthquakes, development of low-damage earthquake resilient structural systems, applications of smart metallic material (shape memory alloys) in earthquake engineering, high-performance passive dampers and base isolation bearings, and seismic performance and retrofitting of non-seismically designed existing structures.

However, for undergraduate beginners, the research contents may be beyond the scope of understanding. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested.​
