Earthquake reconnaissance: Luxian Earthquake (M6.0), Sep. 16, 2021

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Luxian county, Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China on Sep. 16, 2021. Prof. K. Dai, Dr. J. Wang, Dr. T. Li, and I participated in the post-earthquake reconnaissance.


Sichuan Province is located in Southwest China where earthquakes occur frequently, and the strong Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 and the Lushan earthquake (Ya'an earthquake) in 2013.
